TIFI Advisory Committee
The TIFI Advisory Committee is derived of 50% agency professionals, and 50% family and youth representatives who we refer to as community stakeholders. Community Stakeholders are the decision-makers of the TIFI Project and will be helping to complete the deliverables of the TIFI Contract, and preparing for the application of the $9 million SAMHSA Grant.

The responsibilities of a participant of the TIFI Advisory Committee are the following:
  1. Be motivated and dedicated as an active member of the collaborative committee.
     
  2. Create and implement the mission, goals, and values as a foundation for the success.
     
  3. Fulfill match (volunteer) requirement of TIFI Project. Currently the match requirement is $2.00 for every one dollar funded; specifically, $140,000.00. Match can be time, money, administrative functions (e.g. copies, office space, mileage, etc.).
     
  4. Work in conjunction with the DCFF Executive Director, and the TIFI Project Director to accomplish the goals and objectives required by the TIFI Project.
     
  5. Establish interagency collaboration and funding pool streams for support of children and youth diagnosed with emotional, behavioral, and/or behavioral disorders.
     
  6. Attend necessary meetings, trainings and technical assistance required as a fulfillment of the TIFI Project.
     
  7. Invite qualified community members or agencies for membership to the committee and subcommittees.
     
  8. Participate in subcommittees listed below as outlined by DSHS Statement of Work/Contract:
  • Community Outreach- to promote community participation; and represent the TIFI Advisory Committee in the Denton County Community to develop and/or establish a network of natural and professional supports.
     
  • Evaluation- to develop and oversee the implementation of outcomes.
     
  • Funding- to create the processes of developing funding pool streams.
     
  • Grant writing- to gather information and apply for available grants to ensure sustainability.
     
  • Training and Technical Assistance- collaborate with previous TIFI funded sites, current SAMHSA sites, Department of State Health Services, and other entities involved in Systems of Care.
     
  • Speaker’s Bureau- develop, maintain, and implement speakers
